I thought it would be fun to start posting some of my past entries of popular Dear Snippie entries. So here is the first post of the series for The Best of Dear Snippie.

• Dear Snippie #6 (The Devil’s Handshake)

Question:
During my college days I caught too many people in the act. I always thought God was punishing me for some reason by having me catch so many guys and girls doing the devil’s handshake and I have always wanted to hear how others would have handled it. How should you react if you catch someone in the act of masturbation? Or how would you react if you got caught?

Answer:
First of all, masturbation is not a bad thing. It helps us get in touch with our bodies and connect with ourselves. Personally, I wish I had more time for it. This question is still tricky for me because it has a religious background. I am not a religious person so I don’t have the whole “guilt” thing gnawing at me. So with that being said, Catching someone or being caught is yes embarrassing but not a bad thing.

Dear Snippie,
Toys, the idea of them makes me cream me pants, well not really but you know what I mean. I just have a problem with getting them. I feel like if I go out to a store and get one, people will think I’m some slut, or something. I’d order them offline but I have this huge fear that its gonna come in a box with the words “SEX TOYS” written all over it. I’m sure there are some that do do that, and others that dont. Either way, I’m way to spastic to risk that. My question is, do you think I’m being stupid, and I should just go and get one, or I’m not ready yet?
 
ANSWER:
Toys are great fun. I think especially for women. Let me ease your mind some about ordering online. First of all they don’t arrive with huge words on the package saying LOOK AT ME, I’M A SEX TOY. They come in a package with no logo and a return name that looks very normal. Also on your credit card statement you will see that same name. Not the actual name of the store. They know that people would probably not order their products if they didnt take these precautions. Second of all if you went into the store no one will be looking at you funny because guess what. They’re there for the same exact reason. They’re probably just as nervous as you are. So relax. Maybe go with a friend or a lover. It’s more fun that way. Get use to going in there before you buy.
