@SnippiesBlog - You talked me into it: I write a lot about journalism and why it is important to you. Many of my posts give a more behind-the-scenes view of the process and the philosophies that drive reporting and publishing. I’m also launching a new focus on convergence media, which is where the industry is/NEEDS TO BE headed. I post links to my stories, occasionally.
All this sprinkled in with some photos (do photojournalism as well) and monologues on how/why/what to write. Some of them perfect examples of how NOT to do it.
And then there’s the little-bit-more-personal stuff.

I’m an open minded person and I blog about pretty much everything under the sun. Some posts have song lyrics, some have pictures, some are rants, some are boring ramblings, and some are deep thought-provoking ones. And hey, if you decide I’m not actually as interesting as I make myself out to be, then you can always unsubscribe- its not a permanent thing.
And if you don’t know who I am yet, its because I just found your site a few days ago- either through Dan’s friend search post or from top blogs. Anyways, I found you interesting and you might find me worth reading too.

Since this post is very similar to TheTheologiansCafe’s Looking For More Xanga Friends? post, I swill copy and paste exactly what I posted there to here. If you want to read a blog to be entertained, do not subscribe to me. I’m not here to entertain you. I blog about my feelings, opinions, and about the random thoughts that pop into my head. I don’t ask questions at the end of every blog entry just so you’ll have a reason to comment. If you want to add me to your friends list just so you’ll have one more name to add to your never ending list of friends that you never really communicate with in the first place, don’t bother inviting me. Now to get to know me as a person, go look at my Xanga profile and/or just ask me whatever questions you have.

My stuff is a little too inconsistent for me to request subscribers. Once I start posting worthwhile posts on a regular basis I will try to get more subscribers. I am a subscriber of yours though!
i am spontaneous and thoughtful, sometimes random, sometimes dramatic, occasionally long winded, at other times rather short. I have a good amount of variety.
Sub to me? Because I’m mostly me most of the time. Besides we are already friends. Because I like life, kids, butterflies, flirting with my memories and finding the good in almost everything. I respect honesty,
However, I have a hard time tolerating “stupid” and “close mindedness”. I love a good debate; arguements done nicely without insult or injury. I sometimes have a very black and white, right or wrong view of the world. I’m working on tolerating braggards and learning to laugh at myself. I think there is a lot I could learn from you and your outlook on life. I can be boring at times. Sorry ’bout that.
But I’m afraid of the popular kids. You’ll all laugh at me and it will be middle school ALL OVER AGAIN! *runs away in terror*
Ok, I’m exaggerating. To be honest though, I am hesitant to promote myself here since you’re one of the more popular bloggers and I really don’t know why you would care what I have to say, especially since I’m new. But I’ll try anyways.
I write about a lot of things. Sometimes I tell stories about my life; other times, I just write about things that are on my mind. I try to stay away from being too boring, and my xanga is not a diary. I do my best to be at least mildly entertaining or thought provoking.
Oh, and also? I promise to use good grammar and spelling, and I swear I will never RiT3 LiKe ThI5 or post everything in caps. Nor will I force you to read hot pink text against an orange background. I also promise not to have really loud music start playing whenever the page loads.

I’m not really all that interesting or amusing. I write everyday though, and I just wrote a post about who I was the other day…like, post before last. So…it’s up to you. Haha my feelings won’t be hurt if you don’t even look :]

Really people make up their minds that they are going to suscribe to you with in the first 5 seconds of reading a blog…it is just like in real life…you know the non-fake one…
I write whatever comes to my mind. This includes topics on my daily life, as well as philosophy, religion, politics…sometimes stories, songs, etc. I try to look at things from a different point of view…I think I do a good job of analyzing situations differently. I just started under a new name after taking a break from Xanga for about a year or so. Take a look and see if ya like it!
Mostly I write to goof off or vent about stuff that pisses me off. But mostly just for fun, because there are a lot of things in my brain that I need to get out somehow.
I write about anything and everything, and enjoy talking to you. But it’s really your decision.
Well, I’m not sure. My posts are often very boring, uunless I’m being attacked and get outraged. Then I let fly with exactly how I feel. Otherwise, it’s just the dull boring existence of a housewife.
I don’t care if anyone comes to my site…I never claim to be a writer…(because I most certainly am not)…I just put what I “feel” like, “when” I feel like…and could care very less if any one comes and reads it or likes it…it is mostly about my family or something cheesy anyhow…I like to read real writers though…which is why I am here…right? I like the comments best.

You should sub me, because i’m a down-to-earth grad student, who occasionally posts useful cooking advice, has plenty of good and thoughtful ideas about being a good person, and who wants to help others. I pray all the time, and also, I have a pretty keen playlist, but it only plays if you click on it.

i think you’re being lazy. you should put in the effort, like others, and actually go and read their blogs. and if you happen to enjoy it, subscribe. simple as that.
I think it’s a bit like joining in on the CB radio scene, like we did here back in the late seventies early eighties in the UK, you connect with everyone that’s online, or it’s like your saying you’ll speak to & acknowledge this & that one, but not those guys, generally you try and connect with everybody instead of just limiting yourself to just a few specially selected elitists, by subscribing to many others you stand a greater chance of making a lot of new friends and will have plenty more blogs to read, even if some of them are only trivial, it don’t matter, just read them and comment, encourage and support your fellow Xangans, offer advice, make suggestions, connect with a wider variety of people, don’t criticize if you can avoid it, certainly don’t preach, communicate with your subscribers by telling them whats going on in your life and make them feel like you give a shit about what’s going on with them, and that you are interested in hearing their take on things that are going on around them, no matter how simple you might feel that is. Subscribing to others on Xanga is like saying “hey, I’m a good listener, you need someone to tell something about what just happened, it upset you, so tell me, I’m listening, I’m here, you need to get this off of your chest, so get typing, and if you need any help with your type-up *before posting it up* send it too me and I’ll go through it for you & send it back to you, then you you can blog it, and I’ll give you my honest opinion about it, but I promise I wont be scathing in my opinion, instead if I don’t like what I read I’ll just make friendly suggestions, but either way if your not sure of what to say or how to tackle the subject/problem, then I’ll help you, and so will the many others on here” It’s like a community thing, be it the CB, chat rooms, Xanga, etc, etc, etc, it’s the same thing, we should all subscribe to each other and look towards being supportive, if someone you know on here is is not blogging much or is having problems blogging about anything in particular, help them a little, give them some ideas of what they might blog on, get them to blog about things they have done, places they have been/seen, etc. So the long answer to the question – Why should you subscribe to me/us? is, because you give a shit, and want to know, not like some people in the world who clearly don’t give a shit and don’t want to know
. Here at Xanga we are like a club, we acknowledge each other and stick together, support, encourage, teach, advise, help out if in need, we don’t treat some as buddies and others like strangers, that’s not Xangan philosophy.
It’s all about communication, and community!

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhm, because I made a Xanga WAY BACK WHEN and only recently started using it… I generally punctuate when I type a blog, and don’t fill MASSIVE SPACE with one paragraph of words (and lack a point in doing so).

Hm, I don’t know, I should think you should only subscribe to me if you find what I write worthwhile and interesting to you. Honestly, I write about a lot of random things – sometimes I use my blog to vent, sometimes to answer controversial questions, sometimes to expand upon quotes that I find that I like. Besides that, I just use it to figure myself out. I would say, if you’re looking to read more people, just stop by, and if you like it, sub, if you don’t, it’s cool

I’m not trying to be like anyone else or create controversy with my blog. I come here and I write about my life or my thoughts or something that strikes a chord with me. I’m funny and thoughtful and serious… sometimes all in one blog. I’m not afraid to voice my opinion, but I will respect yours.

I try not to blog about anything in particular, which can be good in some ways. Of coarse I have my themes, ranging from topics such as the media, society, and the application of analytical thought. But overall, I just write about whatever.

Well sense you have oh so many followers, I guess I’ll give this a try. I’m a struggling poet, I’m poor, and I think I’m losing my mind. Anyway, by you subscibing I’d hope people would come and see blog. I write poems about all kinds of things like love, nature, and even politics. I only have eleven subcribers and I really need more people reading my blog, idk, maybe because I feel that the more people that read, the more chances that I might get discovered, it maybe seen as wishful thinking, but anything is worth a try, isn’t it?
