Vacation time is over :(
So I haven’t been at work since the 23rd of December. I didn’t go anywhere or plan anything. I stayed home, watched tv/movies, played on Xanga and slept in every day. It was the best vacation. I cleaned the house really well, which felt great. The boys were starting to drive me crazy towards the end but it was still nice being that stay at home mom which I never get to do.
Even though my vacation was great I can’t wait to get back to work. I miss getting up and being productive at my job. I know that sounds strange but I do. I miss work.
So thank you to everyone who entertained me on my vacation. Thank you to those who joined me on New Years while I was on XTV. Thank you to those who talked to me on AIM and kept those long hours fun.
You were the best part of my vacation Xanga.

That’s my kinda vacation.
Sounds just like me. And now I go back to work tomorrow. I don’t even think my eyes were open before 9 am these past few weeks. Looks like a day of nothing but caffeine for me!!
I’d have to agree. I wasn’t nearly as productive as you were, but this has been the best vacation I’ve ever had. Ah, back to normal we go, hopefully carrying with us a little bit of the contentment of our vacation days.
I sorta miss doing nothing. School again.

Staycations are better than real vacations.
ohh i love making the house all super clean. it totally revitalizes the surroundings! but then i get super sad when it gets all messy again :[ my favorite part of cleaning is rearranging the furniture. i guess it goes back to when i was a kid and played with doll houses

Ha I haven’t been to work since mid-November and I have to go back tomorrow. At first I was looking forward to it, but now not so much. The prospect of getting up at 6 just isn’t appealing.
It’s not strange to want to go back to work and be productive again. I know people who even identify themselves with the work they do.
I’m glad your break was well spent.
Yeah, vacation’s over and I’m back to work too. Hope our work goes on smoothly without so much stress.

Now that is my kind of vacation. Going away on vacation can be extremely stressful. It is nice to be able to stay home and get caught on the things that seem to get neglected during the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives.
my son goes back to school on Tuesday after a two week vacation. hubby goes back on tuesday too. yuck. makes me sad.
I get the same feeling whenever I have an extended break from work. I don’t know why, but it just makes you feel lazy!
Xanga has been the one of the best parts of my Vacation too.lol
yep… well.. I’ve got another 36 hours before I hit the grindstone again…

We’ve the same experience, the only difference is that I’m a student. Our classes had just started, and as expected, I was so very tired and I really miss vacations.

i’m glad to hear you enjoyed your vacation!! so many people out there can’t appreciate a vacation during which they’re not busy bees, but it’s good to hear that you had a nice vacation at home.
I am jealous. I had work the entire holidays. Oh well, fast food restaurants does not recognize holidays.
The best thing about the holidays is that I had a reunion with my relatives.

I am totally envious of your desire to return to work!
My company is in the process of exiting the US, and so work for us is very unchallenging. I miss the good old days to productivity and too much to do… 
I feel you on that. Vacations are great, but after awhile, being idle too long gets tiresome.

Oh yeah! I have been in sales and working with the public for 30 years!! I just bear it as much as I can and send them to the office. Where I draw the line is if they curse at me. They get disconnected:)

I miss the way school makes me feel productive, too. Vacations are very nice, but after a while, you just feel like you need to be doing something.
