Why should i write about myself?
I’ve never really written a blog about myself. I don’t know why. I guess i just feel uncomfortable talking about myself and having people comment on it. Also do people really care enough to actually hear what i have to say about me? I never thought so. But I’ve been thinking lately. All of you share yourselves with me. You open your hearts and your souls. I have learned so much about all of you but really you know nothing about me. So for my New Years resolution I’m going to start writing blogs about myself, my family and my life. I’m going to share myself with all of you and take the chance of opening up. I think it will be good for me. Therapeutic almost. So here’s to the New Year and my new blog!
xoxo,

i don’t! well, kinda. i’m not really an open book, either. or… if i am… i think i turn the pages slowly and the best part must be at the end or something.
bad analogy.
but good resolution for you. do it.
Awesome. I open up because I have a lot of inner demons I’d like to get rid of.
It just helps dealing with them. Still haven’t been able to get rid of one though.
It does help, believe me!
I’ll be looking forward to it, Becca!
Cool. It certainly can help to write about things.
Can’t wait B!!!!
Yay! I look forward to it.
well thats great
I’m sure it helps. I’m looking forward to reading your blogs then
Even though you’re blog isn’t completely about yourself, just by reading it your readers (like myself) can tell you have a helping heart (with sex which is a huge topic to tackle
). Looking forward to the New Years Resolution in practice.
Love the new layout, by the way! Nice!
Cool, I look forward to learning about you! I don’t write about me anymore really… that used to be all I wrote about when it was just me and my friends on here. But they’ve long since gone and I’ve made lots of new (and some better) friends on here. Glad to call you one of them! =)
But there will still be sex talk, right?
lol j/k It’ll be nice to find out more about Becca, the woman and not only Snippie, the blog.
The more you open up to people, the more people will take advantage of you — or try to. Lousy attempts are somewhat offensive. People aren’t that difficult.
I respect bloggers who tell me about themselves way more than the EXTREMELY popular blogs who just fill their blogs with news items then ask “How do you feel?”
Especially when those effort-less blogs get hoisted upon the collective shoulders of the community.
u shouldn’t trust everything u read. u dont know when ur truth will be twisted in some sick way. after all, it’s cyberspace. anyone can do anything with what u write here.
I can’t wait to learn even more about my wonderful friend … bring it on!
I know about you already! cause im your friend. YOUR COOL FRIEND…ahem.
@Millsanicole - take that amberlicious!
You could try the “15 or 16 things most people don’t know about me” thingie that was going around a while back. The link to mine is here!
I think I would really like to get to know you better.
I look forward to it.
create a persona
Just remember that it’s only a blog and not a very good place to get affirmation. You may rip open your rib cage and bare your soul and get only 2 comments, but talk about American Idol or repost strange Yahoo photos and you’ll get dozens. It’s just the nature of Xanga. Just my unsolicited 2 cents. I look forward to reading real stuff.
get it!
Looking forward to getting to know you better.
I look forward to learning more. -smile-
You only should open up as much as you are comfortable with.
mutual sharing is such a powerful thing
do it :]
I write about myself and my family a lot because that is about all I do have to write about since I no longer work outside the home. I stay home to take care of my grandson while my daughter is in Iraq. It helps me to write and I would say is rather a kind of therapy for me because there are a lot of feelings going on about the way I feel with her being where she is although I try not to write so much about that. It does help.
Looking forward to reading about you. Happy New Year!
Sounds like a good idea to me. Who wouldn’t want to know more about such a caring person as you?
I think that’s great, and I will definitely be looking forward to future reading.
I will look forward to them.
@CiaoBella810 - You might be the “cool” friend…..but I’m the AWESOME friend. Not to mention I have seniority! LOL
@Millsanicole - ok ok…i suppose…I Becca you!
Happy New Year. Talking about yourself? Opening Up? It’s all good!
Wow, you have so much stuff on everyone else, you sure you want everyone to have stuff on you?
i do the same, but because I feel as if my life is boring.
Ha(:
It helps so much, just getting your thoughts and things like that out.
if u want to open up then its ok
I dont cuase people complain and ignore me except for one girl
im the same, well kinda.
i hate opening up to people i know. im always afraid of what they’ll think of me.
but i look forward to your future blogs.
Woohoo! I think that is neat, it can be very therapeutic.
@CiaoBella810 - I Becca you back, boo!
Maybe it’s because most users are young or depressed about something going on in their lives and like to use Xanga as an open journal to express their feelings in hope of gaining help from those within the community who are not as depressed as they are?
(That felt more like a ramble, what do you think?)
we will get into your life…
There is always more room outside than inside. It is a way to express your feelings, make more friends, and feel better about yourself. Good luck.
@nothingbeast - Totally agreed.
